Researchers analyzed 323 cities based on affordability, safety, and family activities. This included factors like the number of family activities per capita, public transportation costs, and crime rates.
Clearwater’s Appeal:
- Ranked higher than popular vacation destination Orlando, Florida.
- Scored 71.93 points out of 100.
- More affordable than most cities, with an average meal at an inexpensive restaurant costing just $18.09.
- Safer than Orlando, with a lower crime rate (5,188 crimes per 100,000 residents).

While Orlando boasts the most family activities (4.31 per 100,000 people), Clearwater offers a good balance of affordability, safety, and activities (3.98 per 100,000 people).
