It seems that people have seen enough of President Joe Biden’s administration, and they don’t want to read more about it.

Renowned publishing house Simon and Schuster killed a deal with Alex Thompson, national political reporter for Axios, for a book about Biden and his administration.

The reason appeared to be a lack of interest.

Politico, which broke the news, called the canceled contract “another sign of the soft Biden book market.”

Thompson himself confirmed the news on X on Wednesday.

“It’s true,” he posted of the canceled contract. “But still writing it and aiming for 2025 to tell the story of the Biden presidency.”

“If you’re a publisher and interested, email/number in bio,” he sadly added.

As the Post Millennial noted, “This development underscores a trend where Biden-themed books struggle to gain traction in the market.”

The outlet cited three Biden books that collectively sold about 18,500 copies.

In comparison, a pair of books by left-wing journalists about former President Donald Trump led to roughly 1.4 million sold copies.
