The state of Florida has hammered a Miami club spotlighted for a video that depicted a young girl being led around a dance floor by a thong-clad drag queen.

According to the Florida Standard, the state Department of Business and Professional Regulation fined R House Inc. in Miami’s Wynwood neighborhood $10,000 for the incident, which occurred in July 2022.

Court records indicate that the complaint centered on a “nearly nude” transgender dancer “parading” the girl through the club. The dancer’s buttocks were “fully exposed” and the performer’s G-string was “stuffed” with dollar bills.

The little girl appeared to be between 3 and 5 years old, records stated. And she too was carrying a dollar bill.

The state reported that the event was part of a regular “Drag Queen Brunch” that R House had held on weekends since 2017. The events were routinely “sexually suggestive and sometimes sexually explicit—consistent with what one would observe at an adult-themed nightclub.”

Moreover, the state added, R House “is not merely aware that young children attend the Brunch, but specifically markets the Brunch performances to young children and to families with young children.”

State regulators noted, “The sexualized nature of the Brunch performances is pervasive.”

The Standard reported that not only did R House agree to pay the steep fine, but also committed to “not knowingly permit patrons under 18 on premises during adult performances which contain, depict or simulate any activities violating [Florida law] and advertise the events as 18 and older only.”

That included conducting ID checks for anyone who appears to be under 25.

The outlet also noted that Plaza Live, which last December allowed children into a sexually charged “Drag Queen Christmas” event, agreed to pay DBPR a $5,000 fine in August as part of its punishment for allowing minors into the show.
