ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The City of St. Petersburg is helping students gear up for the new school year with a school supply drive at the Bay Vista Recreation Center.
The community is encouraged to donate new school supplies at the center, located at 7000 4th St. S, now through July 31st. Donations are accepted Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Needed items include backpacks, folders, notebook paper, pencils, pens, crayons, markers, glue sticks, rulers, and scissors.

These donated supplies will be distributed to St. Pete students entering grades K-8 at a fun-filled Backpack Giveaway event on Saturday, August 10th, from 1-4 p.m. at the Bay Vista Recreation Center. The event will feature bounce houses, music, free food, and more.
Families interested in receiving school supplies must register online between July 15th and August 1st.
