PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – An 85-year-old St. Petersburg woman has died following a single-vehicle crash on US-19 Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a Cadillac STS northbound on the frontage road of US-19 near Belleair Road when she lost control of the vehicle.
The car veered left, striking the curb and causing the tires to deflate. The vehicle then continued into the median where it collided with a bridge pillar.

The woman was transported to a local hospital but tragically succumbed to her injuries.
The crash remains under investigation, and the Florida Highway Patrol has not yet released the identity of the deceased.
