St. Petersburg Woman Arrested For DUI Manslaughter After Fatal Hit-And-Run

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A St. Petersburg woman has been arrested on charges of DUI manslaughter and leaving the scene of a crash involving death following a fatal pedestrian collision on Friday night.

According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, the incident occurred at approximately 9:45 PM. Kimberly Barham, 29, was driving a silver Land Rover SUV southbound on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street South.

Police say Barham struck a pedestrian, identified as 31-year-old Tevin Griffin of St. Petersburg. Griffin was crossing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street South from west to east on the north side of 20th Avenue South, in an unmarked crosswalk.

Following the collision, Barham allegedly fled the scene. Griffin was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Approximately one hour after the crash, police located Barham at her home. She was arrested and charged with DUI Manslaughter and Leaving the Scene of a Crash Involving Death.
