ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – With a potential storm looming over the area, the City of St. Petersburg has adjusted its sandbag distribution schedule to help residents protect their homes from possible flooding.
Key Changes:
- The year-round sandbag site at the Pavement and Traffic Operations Building is now closed.
- Full-service sandbag locations will be open on Friday, August 2, and Saturday, August 3, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., or as weather permits.
- Self-service sandbag locations will also be available during the same timeframe.
Full-Service Sandbag Locations (August 2-4):
- Lake Maggiore Park Shelter Area
- Northeast Park East Baseball Field Parking Lot
- Northwest Swimming Pool Parking Lot Park

Self-Service Sandbag Locations (August 2-4):
- Dell Homes Park
- Fossil Park Northern Most Parking Lot
- Walter Fuller Soccer Field Parking Lot
Important Reminders:
- Each household can receive up to 10 sandbags.
- Proof of residency is required.
- Staff will assist seniors and those needing help at full-service locations only.
