ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Motorists in St. Petersburg should be aware of a planned nighttime closure of the 118th Avenue N. entrance ramp to I-275 next week.
The Florida Department of Transportation has announced that weather permitting, the entrance ramp from 118th Avenue N. at 31st Court N. to both northbound and southbound I-275 will be closed between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. on Monday, March 17th, and/or Tuesday, March 18th.

Drivers are advised to allow for extra travel time and plan for a short detour route.
Detour Route:
- From 118th Avenue N., travel north on 28th Street N.
- Turn right onto Roosevelt Blvd. (SR 686) and proceed east to I-275.
- To enter southbound I-275, turn right before the overpass.
- To enter northbound I-275, continue under the overpass and turn left.
The closure is necessary for ongoing road work in the area. Motorists are urged to drive cautiously and follow all posted detour signs.
