ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Drivers and pedestrians in downtown St. Petersburg should be prepared for potential traffic congestion this weekend due to construction activity related to the 3rd and 3rd Apartments project.

From Friday, January 24th, at 7:00 PM to Saturday, January 25th, at 8:00 AM, approximately 400 trucks and associated equipment will be accessing the construction site at 235 3rd St. S to pour the building’s foundation.

While no lane closures are anticipated, the high volume of truck traffic could lead to temporary lane blockages and congestion as vehicles enter and exit the site.

The City of St. Petersburg is working closely with the contractor, KAST Construction, to minimize disruptions. Police officers will be on-site to assist with traffic control and ensure the safe flow of vehicles and pedestrians.

The city is also taking steps to limit noise and light pollution from the overnight construction activity to reduce disturbances to nearby residents and businesses.
