St. Petersburg Residents To See Changes In Utility Rates And Charges

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Starting October 1, 2024, St. Petersburg utility customers may see changes in their water, wastewater, reclaimed water, stormwater, and sanitation rates and fees, pending City Council approval.

The City Council will hold a First Reading on August 15 to formally set the date and time for a Public Hearing, where a full presentation on the proposed changes will be given on September 5.

The final adoption of the new rates will also be considered at this meeting.

Information about the proposed adjustments can be found at stpete.org/Rates. The city emphasizes that these fee adjustments are crucial for maintaining and improving the city’s aging infrastructure to ensure reliable services.

Residents facing difficulties with their utility bills are encouraged to contact the St. Pete Utility Customer Service Call Center for assistance. The city also provides resources for water conservation and additional financial aid information.
