PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – A registered sex offender in St. Petersburg has been arrested again, this time on charges of possessing child pornography. Zachary Northup, 35, was taken into custody by detectives from the Crimes Against Children Unit (CAC) on February 12, 2025.
The investigation began after detectives received information about child pornography being uploaded to the internet. Through various investigative techniques, they identified Northup as the suspect.

According to detectives, the images in Northup’s possession depicted children between the ages of 5 and 14 years old.
Northup was arrested and charged with six counts of Possession of Child Pornography. He was booked into the Pinellas County Jail.
The investigation is ongoing.
