ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Detectives with the St. Petersburg Police Department are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a person of interest connected to a fatal shooting. The individual was last seen in the 1300 block of 34th Street South.
The shooting occurred earlier today, just after 8:30 a.m., in the 3400 block of 14th Avenue South. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered 42-year-old Deon Bell, who had sustained a gunshot wound.

Bell was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
