ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – St. Petersburg police are searching for a driver who struck and killed a pedestrian on 9th Avenue South Monday. The incident occurred shortly after 8 p.m. in the 1200 block.
The victim, a male, was hit by a Jeep and later died from his injuries at Bayfront Health. The driver abandoned the Jeep, which was later determined to be stolen, and fled the scene.

Anyone with information about the driver is urged to contact the St. Petersburg Police at 727-893-7780.
