ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – St. Petersburg Police Chief Anthony Holloway has terminated Officer Brent Clark’s employment following a Command Review Board’s determination that Clark made a racially insensitive remark to a fellow officer.

The incident occurred on April 18, 2024, at the police headquarters. Officer Clark’s comment was reported to a supervisor, prompting an investigation by the Office of Professional Standards. The subsequent Command Review Board found Clark guilty of conduct unbecoming of an officer, leading to his termination on September 11th.

Clark had been with the St. Petersburg Police Department since October 2011, serving in the Traffic Section.

A report on the incident will be submitted to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement’s Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission.
