ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – St. Petersburg Police has arrested Ivan Edward, 24, in connection with the murder of 42-year-old Kelli Fisher. Edward has been charged with First Degree Murder.
Fisher was last seen alive on July 16th, leaving in her aunt’s car. She was reported missing the following day, and her vehicle was found abandoned on July 18th. After a weeks-long search and an emotional plea from her family, Fisher’s remains were discovered in a burned-out house on August 1st.

The Pinellas County Medical Examiner determined that she had been stabbed multiple times before the fire.
Edward, an acquaintance of Fisher’s family, was already in custody on unrelated charges of auto theft and armed burglary. He was arrested for those offenses on July 29th, prior to the identification of Fisher’s remains.

The investigation into Fisher’s murder is ongoing.
