ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – St. Petersburg residents can take advantage of two “Sandbag Saturdays” in September as hurricane season is in full swing.
The City has added extra days for sandbag pickup at the Pavement and Traffic Operations Building (1744 9th Ave. N).
Extended hours for September:
- Saturday, September 7: 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Saturday, September 14: 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Regular hours:
- Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Second Saturday of each month: 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Residents are urged to get their sandbags early to avoid long lines during emergencies. Each household can receive up to 10 sandbags, and proof of St. Pete residency is required.
