PINELLAS PARK, Fla. – Pinellas Park Police are searching for a fatal hit-and-run crash suspect that took the life of a St. Petersburg man.
On Saturday, July 29th, 2023, at approximately 3:05 am, officers responded to a crash in the 11700 block of 66th St for a bicyclist who was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
Once on scene, the Pinellas Park Fire Department was tending to the victim, who was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased.

Investigators determined the victim William Rothey, 37, of St. Petersburg, was traveling south on 66th St, along the paved shoulder and out of the curb lane.
A vehicle traveling south on 66th St left the curb lane and struck William Rothey’s bicycle. After the crash, the suspect fled the scene and failed to stop and render aid.
Through investigative means, the vehicle and driver were later identified. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office located the vehicle abandoned in the Publix parking lot at 7333 Park Blvd.
The suspect, Anaya Millan, 26, has been identified and is currently being sought by investigating officers. Anyone with information regarding Anaya Millan’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers (1-800-973-TIPS) or the Pinellas Park Police Department (727-369-7840).
