St. Petersburg Man Charged After Flipping Stolen Jeep With His Friend On The Back

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A St. Petersburg man has been arrested on multiple charges involving auto theft and causing a traffic crash with serious bodily injury.

On February 10, at 11:43 p.m., Ke’Andrae Davis, 21, was driving a stolen gray Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound on 20th Street South at a high rate of speed.

Vincent Green, 20, a friend of Davis, had jumped onto the rear of the vehicle before it sped down the street.

A short time later, Davis lost control of the vehicle, and it swerved and flipped, ejecting Green off the back of the vehicle and causing critical injuries.

Davis climbed out of the Jeep and left the area before officers arrived. Green was transported to a local hospital, where he remains listed in critical condition.

Davis was located and arrested Wednesday night. He has been charged with grand theft motor vehicle, reckless driving with serious bodily injury, leaving the scene of a crash involving injury, felon in possession of firearm, tampering with a witness, resisting an officer without violence, and no valid driver’s license.
