ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A 45-year-old St. Petersburg man has been arrested and charged with multiple counts of possession of child pornography after investigators uncovered hundreds of explicit images and videos on his cellphone.
Sean D. Leonard faces 11 counts of possession of child pornography following a tip that led authorities to his illegal activities.

The investigation began when law enforcement received a tip that Leonard was allegedly sending child pornography through a social media platform. Acting on the information, investigators obtained a warrant to search Leonard’s electronic devices.
During the search, authorities discovered more than 800 photos and 500 videos depicting child pornography on Leonard’s cellphone. The graphic content included explicit images and videos of minors, prompting immediate action by law enforcement.

Leonard was taken into custody and charged with 11 counts of possession of child pornography. He is currently being held at Pinellas County Jail pending further legal proceedings.
