ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – St. Petersburg Police arrested 30-year-old Antonio Silvestri for defacing the Pride street mural at Central Avenue and 25th Street.
Silvestri was caught on video intentionally performing a “burnout” in his truck, leaving tire marks across the rainbow mural and causing significant damage.

The incident occurred on May 17th at 10:40 a.m. Silvestri now faces charges of felony criminal mischief and street racing.
Despite the damage, the City and volunteers successfully restored the mural in time for Pride Month celebrations.
