ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A single-story home on Laurel Oak Ln NE was ravaged by a fire early Tuesday morning. St. Petersburg Fire Rescue (SPFR) responded to multiple 911 calls reporting heavy smoke and flames at around 5:30 AM.
Firefighters arrived to find the house completely engulfed in flames. The homeowner, who had been asleep when the fire started, managed to escape safely and confirmed that no one else was inside.

Crews battled the intense blaze, utilizing aerial operations to control the fire.
The fire has been extinguished, but the cause remains under investigation. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. Duke Energy has been notified, and the Red Cross is assisting the displaced homeowner.
