St. Petersburg Gears Up For Southeast’s Largest Pride Celebration

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The vibrant city of St. Petersburg is ready to embrace the Southeast’s largest Pride celebration, with over 100,000 people expected to participate in the festivities this weekend, June 22-23, 2024.

St. Pete Pride Parade, Trans March, and Festival – Saturday, June 22

  • When: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • Where: North and South Straub Park
  • What: A free, public event featuring vendors, food trucks, entertainment, and more.
  • Trans March: Steps off at 5:15 PM from Vinoy Park
  • Pride Parade: Steps off at 6:00 PM from Albert Whitted Park, proceeding north to Vinoy Park along Bayshore Drive

Getting There:

To ensure a smooth arrival, plan for extra travel time and follow directions from law enforcement officers directing traffic.

  • Public Transit:
    • PSTA is the official transportation provider for St. Pete Pride.
    • Free Park & Ride available at Tropicana Field (Lots 5, 6, 7) and St. Pete High School.
    • The SunRunner, Route 9, and Central Avenue Trolley are free on June 22nd. Visit psta.net/how-to-ride/pride/ for more details.
  • Parking:
    • Garages at Southcore and Sundial are nearest to the parade route.
    • The St. Pete Pier will be closed to vehicle traffic and parking from 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
    • Consider rideshare or micromobility options.

Street Closures:

Be aware of the following street closures:

  • Bayshore Drive (Albert Whitted Park to 5th Ave. NE) from 1:00 PM until the parade concludes.
  • Bayshore Dr. (Central Ave to 5th Ave NE) until 11:00 PM.

St. Pete Pride Grand Central Street Fair – Sunday, June 23

  • When: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
  • Where: Grand Central District
  • What: A free, family-friendly event featuring vendors, entertainment, food, and community partners.

Getting There:

  • Public Transit:
    • The SunRunner stops at 32nd St. on 1st Ave. S and 1st Ave. N.
    • The Central Avenue Trolley may be impacted by road closures.
  • Parking:
    • Utilize downtown parking lots and garages or park along 1st Ave. N and 1st Ave. S.
    • Consider rideshare or micromobility options.

Street Closures:

Central Avenue and cross streets between 1st Ave. N and 1st Ave. S will be closed from 20th St. to 31st St. from 6:00 AM – 10:00 PM.
