ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – To better accommodate residents during the active hurricane season, the City of St. Petersburg is adding extra days for sandbag pick-up.
Starting this Saturday, July 13, sandbags will be available at the Pavement and Traffic Operations Building (1744 9th Ave. N.) from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This addition aims to provide greater accessibility and equity for those who may have difficulty getting sandbags during regular weekday hours.
The expanded hours will continue on the second Saturday of each month until further notice. The City strongly encourages residents to take advantage of this opportunity to prepare for potential storms by picking up sandbags and other necessary supplies.

During emergencies or storm declarations, sandbag distribution locations and hours may change. Residents can find the most up-to-date information by visiting stpete.org/Sandbags.
Each household is allowed a maximum of 10 sandbags, and proof of residency is required. Staff will be available to assist seniors and anyone else who may need help filling or loading their sandbags.
