ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The St. Petersburg City Council is set to finalize its decision on the Historic Gas Plant District Redevelopment with a series of meetings next week.

A Committee of the Whole meeting will take place on Tuesday, July 16th to further discuss the project’s details, followed by a crucial vote on Thursday, July 18th.

The Committee of the Whole meeting, scheduled for 9 a.m. on Tuesday, will see the City Council, Mayor Kenneth T. Welch, and representatives from the Tampa Bay Rays and Hines delve into the Stadium and Development Agreements for the project.

While open to the public, seating will be limited, and there will be no opportunity for public comment. Those unable to attend in person can watch the meeting live on SPTV or local cable channels.

The final decision regarding the project’s approval will be made during the City Council meeting on Thursday, July 18th, at 11 a.m. This meeting will also be open to the public with limited seating. Overflow seating will be available, and the meeting will be broadcast live for those who cannot attend.
