SAINT PETERSBURG, Fla. – The City of St. Petersburg is pleased to announce that the next phase of construction and the reopening of the 40th Ave. NE. bridge will begin ahead of schedule on Friday, March 26, 2021, at 5 p.m.
The City and contractor are moving as quickly as possible and construction activity for the replacement of the bridge will continue. This reopening will include a new traffic pattern which will be in place during the first phase of the bridge replacement. Drivers are encouraged to use caution while traveling through this active construction zone.
Every effort is being made to lessen impacts on the residents and the traveling public during the construction phase of the project.
The City of St. Petersburg appreciates the patience of the community during the bridge’s closure.
