St. Pete Sex Offender Arrested, 20-Counts of Child Porn Charges

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Detectives assigned to the Crimes Against Children Unit have arrested a St.Petersburg man for Possession of Child Pornography.

Detectives began their investigation on October 14, 2020, after receiving information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, that child exploitation material was being uploaded via a social media application.

Through various investigative techniques, detectives were able to identify the suspect as 24-year-old Dominick Morales, who is a registered sex offender.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for Morales’ residence and electronics, which was served on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.

Morales was arrested and charged with 20-counts of Possession of Child Pornography. He was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without further incident.
