St. Pete Police Searching For 2nd Suspect Who Shot Woman Sitting In Her Living Room

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – St. Petersburg Police are searching for 26-year-old Jacarius Courouthers, who is wanted for attempted felony murder.

According to investigators, on December 23, 2023, at 6:17 p.m., Courouthers and Daemond Murray fired multiple gunshots at a group walking near the 1700 block of Preston St. South.

There was an exchange of gunfire, and a bullet went into a nearby home, striking a woman who was on her living room couch.  Her injuries were not life-threatening.

Investigators arrested Daemond Murray on January 12, 2024, and charged him with attempted felony murder and felon in possession of a firearm.

Courouthers is still at large.
