HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A 22-year-old Spring Hill woman has died after a crash that happened around 2:19 am on Monday, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
According to troopers, a van, driven by a 63-year-old Spring Hill man was traveling westbound on SR-50 (Cortez Blvd), east of Mckinney Sink Road.
Troopers say the Spring Hill woman was traveling eastbound on SR-50 when for an unknown reason, the van traveled into the eastbound lane and collided nearly head-on with the woman’s car.
Troopers say both vehicles rotated to a stop in the westbound lane and south shoulder.
The 22-year-old Spring Hill woman died at the scene from injuries suffered in the crash.
