Between June 10th and June 22nd, the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office investigated four fires that started near Building 8 at the Bridgewater Club Apartments in Spring Hill.
The first incident involved a vehicle windshield that was damaged by fire. On June 17th, the same victim reported damage to the rear window and seat of their vehicle, along with fire damage to the apartment building and vandalism to a separate apartment door.
Early on the morning of June 22nd, the victim captured video of a woman setting another fire in the same location as the previous fire. The victim identified the woman as Liszette Ortiz-Rosado, who they knew through a co-worker. An investigation determined all four fires were connected.

On June 25th, detectives spoke with the victim’s co-worker, who believed that Ortiz-Rosado thought he was involved with the resident of the vandalized apartment. The co-worker’s vehicle was believed to have been targeted because it was parked in front of that apartment.
When questioned by investigators on June 26th, Ortiz-Rosado denied setting any fires. She claimed that she was the woman in the video, but that she was helping a lizard, not starting a fire. Investigators noted that she then began making irrational statements.

Ortiz-Rosado was arrested and charged with two counts of arson of a dwelling and two counts of arson of a vehicle. She is being held in the Hernando County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
