HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A routine traffic stop for a missing headlight Friday turned into a significant drug bust in Hernando County.

Hernando County Sheriff’s Office Deputy K. Rogers pulled over a white Mercedes sedan and, during the stop, observed drug paraphernalia in the car.

The driver, identified as Tammy Dominick, and two passengers, Francisco Toro and Amy Englund, were detained after the deputy observed a glass pipe, commonly used for smoking narcotics, in the center console of the vehicle.

As Dominick searched for her driver’s license, Deputy Rogers noticed the glass pipe and requested identification from both passengers. Toro provided his ID, while the backseat passenger falsely identified herself as Samantha Erickson.

However, the individual was later identified as Amy Englund through previous booking photos.

HCSO Deputy J. Allion assisted in removing the occupants from the vehicle, and a search uncovered various narcotics and drug paraphernalia, including methamphetamine, fentanyl, and marijuana.
