PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – An 18-year-old man and woman from Spring Hill were airlifted to an area hospital after a crash on I-75 on Wednesday.
Troopers say around 10:37 am, a 2001 Chevy Corvette, was traveling on southbound I-75 just south of SR-52 at a high rate of speed.
The driver lost control of the vehicle, which rotated to the inside shoulder and collided with a guardrail.
Investigators say the vehicle was redirected across the southbound lanes to a stop along the west shoulder.
Both occupants, a male and female from Spring Hill were airlifted to an area hospital with serious injuries, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
