Three Injured In Spring Hill Shooting: Hernando County Sheriff

SPRING HILL, Fla. – A shooting at the Mariner Cay Apartments in Spring Hill Sunday night left three people wounded.

According to Hernando County Sheriff Al Nienhuis, the shooter fired into a car occupied by five individuals, injuring three of them. The driver was able to flee the scene and drive to the nearby Mariner Commons shopping center for help.

The three victims were transported to local hospitals, but their conditions have not been released. As a precaution, authorities evacuated a nearby Publix store.

The suspected shooter and two other individuals who were with them at the time of the shooting have been arrested. Deputies are actively investigating a shooting incident at or near Mariner Cay Apartments and Mariner Commons Shopping Plaza in Spring Hill.
