HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A 45-year-old Spring Hill man was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash on the Suncoast Parkway (SR-589) late Thursday night. His nine-year-old son, who was a passenger in the vehicle, survived with minor injuries.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the crash occurred around 11:40 p.m. near mile marker 42. The man was driving a Nissan Sentra southbound when he experienced a medical emergency, causing him to lose control of the vehicle.

The Sentra veered off the roadway and into the median, where it overturned. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. Both he and his son, who was properly restrained, were transported to an area hospital. Tragically, the driver later succumbed to his injuries.
