Spring Hill Hit And Run Leaves Teen Student Injured, Florida Troopers Seeking Driver

SPRING HILL, Fla. – Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) troopers are investigating a hit-and-run incident that left a 16-year-old student injured in Spring Hill.

The incident occurred Thursday morning around 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of Monarch Street and Mariner Boulevard. A silver SUV, traveling westbound on Monarch Street, failed to stop at a posted stop sign and struck the teenager, who was walking to school.

The driver of the SUV fled the scene, leaving the injured student behind. Fortunately, the student’s injuries were non-life-threatening, and he was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident or the driver of the silver SUV to contact FHP by calling *347 or Crime Stoppers at **TIPS.
