A Florida woman is celebrating a life-changing win after scratching off a $1 million prize from a popular Florida Lottery game. The Lottery announced today that Billie Jo Hannah, 46, of Fort Myers, claimed the top prize from the $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR Scratch-Off game.
Hannah chose to receive her winnings as a single, lump-sum payment of $640,000.00. She claimed her prize at the Florida Lottery’s Fort Myers District Office.
The winning ticket that brought Hannah this spectacular fortune was purchased at the 7-Eleven located at 20300 Grande Oak Shoppes Boulevard in nearby Estero. As a bonus for selling the winning ticket, the 7-Eleven location will receive a $2,000 commission from the Lottery.

The $50 $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR game is one of the Florida Lottery’s high-tier offerings, featuring two potential top prizes of $1 million a year for life and 234 prizes of $1 million. The game boasts over $1.6 billion in total cash prizes, with overall odds of winning sitting at 1-in-4.50.
Scratch-off games like the one Hannah won are a significant part of the Florida Lottery’s offerings, making up roughly 74 percent of ticket sales during the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
