TAMPA, Fla. – Motorists traveling in Tampa should be aware of a temporary closure affecting the southbound I-275 ramp to the Howard Frankland Bridge from Kennedy Boulevard (SR 60).
The closure is scheduled to take place from 11 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, to 5 a.m. on Monday, December 16, weather permitting.

During the closure, motorists will need to follow a detour around the work zone:
- Continue east on Kennedy Boulevard (SR 60).
- Turn left onto Lois Avenue.
- Head north on Lois Avenue under the I-275 overpass.
- Enter the interstate using the southbound I-275 entrance ramp.
Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will guide drivers through the detour route.
Drivers are urged to exercise caution while navigating the work zone and remain alert for construction workers and equipment in the area.

This closure is part of ongoing construction activities for the I-275 Causeway Seawall and Trail project, which spans from Reo Street to the Howard Frankland Bridge in Hillsborough County.
