Deputies in Florida arrested a couple this week after they assaulted a man on a social media date, slicing his throat, stealing his car, and throwing him off a bridge.
A news release from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office says that Natalie Fonseca and the victim set up a date after meeting on social media.
The victim allegedly introduced Fonseca to her “uncle,” Nafis Reynolds, at her house when they went on their date.
The three allegedly drove to the victim’s house, where they carried on with what the Sheriff’s Office referred to as a “unorthodox date” before departing.

According to Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, “Fonseca and Nafis both hit the victim several times and told him he was going to die” while they were traveling.
They robbed him of his shoes, his phone, his money, and his car.
The report states that Fonseca and Reynolds “took turns cutting his throat before throwing him over the bridge rail and into the Escambia River.”
The couple then drove off in the stolen car, which was later discovered burning on West 98.
The male victim, “unbeknownst to our would-be killers,” survived both the fall from the bridge and the cuts, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
