TAMPA, Fla. – A server in Tampa scored big after sharing her story with serial entrepreneur and professional soccer player Chris Frederick.

What started off as a casual conversation about her love for soccer and her passion for marketing ended with some heartfelt professional advice and a $1,000 tip for a 19-year-old server at Kona Grill in Tampa.

Kyndal Severit, 19, played soccer growing up in Lakeland before moving to Tampa to attend USF.

Her goal is to pursue marketing when she graduates. What better person for her to connect with than a successful entrepreneur that has done both himself?

“This means so much to me, I’m a college student, and I also played soccer, so this is really cool!” said Kyndal. “It’s going to help me out this summer while taking summer classes, with my expenses. Thank you so much, Chris.”

Chris Frederick is a professional soccer player and serial entrepreneur.

Frederick is from Woodsboro, Maryland, and played college soccer at Lock Haven University, who then transferred to Mount St Mary’s to play when he decided to drop out since he was earning more money through online marketing than his college professors were making, allowing him to just focus on playing soccer at the next level, professionally.

An agent signed him, ultimately ending up playing in Germany for professional sides FC Amberg, PSVN, BSC Erlangen, and Tus Kastl EV before returning to the US to sign with the Florida Tropics of the MASL.
