A small plane crashed into a house in Brooklyn Park, a suburb of Minneapolis, on Saturday, resulting in at least one fatality, according to a city official.

Brooklyn Park spokesperson Risikat Adesaogun reported that the residents of the house were unharmed, but the home was destroyed in the crash.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) stated that the aircraft involved was a single-engine SOCATA TBM7, and the number of people on board was not immediately known.

The FAA confirmed that the plane’s flight originated from the Des Moines International Airport in Iowa, with its intended destination being the Anoka County-Blaine Airport, located in another Minneapolis suburb.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is now conducting an investigation into the crash.
