PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – A multi-vehicle collision involving a tractor-trailer and four other vehicles occurred on the northbound lanes of the Skyway Bridge on Tuesday, resulting in one driver being hospitalized.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the incident took place near the 9.5 milepost. A 31-year-old man from Hialeah was driving a tractor-trailer northbound when traffic ahead of him suddenly slowed. Unable to stop in time, the tractor-trailer slammed into a Kia Sportage, driven by a 48-year-old female from Ruskin, and a Buick Envision, driven by a 59-year-old male from Bradenton.
