The Florida Lottery announced six millionaires this week totaling nearly $10,000,000 in winnings!
On Monday, Florida Lottery announced that Deantee Ingram, 39, of Holly Hill, claimed a $5 million top prize from the GOLD RUSH LIMITED Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Orlando District Office.
She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $3,960,000.00.
Ingram purchased her winning ticket from Medina Deli Grocery, located at 600 3rd Street in Holly Hill. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
Also on Monday, Marie-Claude Coughlin, 50, of Valrico, claimed a $1,000 A Week for Life top prize from the $1,000 A WEEK FOR LIFE Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Tampa District Office. She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $930,000.00.
Coughlin purchased her winning ticket from Wawa, located at 2926 East State Road 60 in Valrico. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
On Tuesday, Evelyne Hamama, 53, of Ramat Hasharon, Israel, claimed a $1 million prize from the POWERBALL® Draw game at the Lottery’s West Palm Beach District Office. The winning ticket matched all five of the white ball numbers but did not match the Powerball number.
Hamama purchased her $1 million winning POWERBALL ticket for the Saturday, January 22, 2022, drawing from Coconut Creek Shell, located at 6135 Lyons Road in Coconut Creek. The retailer will receive a $1,000 bonus commission for selling the winning POWERBALL ticket.
No winners were announced on Wednesday, but Thursday, Derrick Watson, 50, of Jacksonville, claimed a $1 million top prize from the 50X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Jacksonville District Office. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.00.
Watson purchased his winning ticket from Quick Way Food Store, located at 1422 Huron Street in Jacksonville. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
The $5 game, 50X THE CASH, launched in January 2022 and features more than $215 million in cash prizes, including 12 top prizes of $1,000,000! The game’s overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.90.
On Friday, two winners were announced. Bridget Burgess, 51, of Pensacola, claimed a $1 million top prize from THE FASTEST ROAD TO $1,000,000 Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Pensacola District Office. She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $790,000.00.
Burgess purchased her winning ticket from Barrancas Food Mart, located at 3682 Barrancas Avenue in Pensacola. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
Also, on Friday, Nellie Lumpkin, 66, of St. Petersburg, claimed a $1 million top prize from THE FASTEST ROAD TO $1,000,000 Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $790,000.00.
“When I realized I won, I immediately told my family and we made plans to go to Tallahassee the next day,” Lumpkin told the Lottery. “I was so excited about claiming $1 million that I couldn’t fall asleep!”
Lumpkin purchased her winning ticket from St. Thomas Food Mart, located at 935 49th Street North in St. Petersburg. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.
Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 75 percent of ticket sales and generating more than $1.3 billion for the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF) in fiscal year 2020-21.
