TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. – Update – This man has been located safe. Deputies have issued a Silver Alert for 95-year-old Richard Tilton, of unincorporated Tarpon Springs. Deputies say a family member reported him missing this morning, Friday, November 20, 2020, after witnessing Tilton driving out of the driveway.
According to deputies, Tilton left his residence on Friday morning, November 20, 2020 driving a maroon 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer, Florida tag # YX82U with yellow cord on the rear bumper to keep the rear hatch closed.
Deputies advise Tilton has memory issues and has repeatedly talked about wanting to drive out of state.
Tilton is described as a white male with a medium build, 5″10″ tall, 165 lbs., with white, shaved hair and blue eyes and glasses. Tilton also has a Navy tattoo on his left forearm. He was last seen wearing a ball cap, a pink sweater, and blue jeans. He was last seen driving southbound on U.S. 19 from Tarpon Springs at about 11:40 a.m. this morning, Friday, November 20, 2020.
Tilton has been entered into FCIC/NCIC as a missing endangered adult. A Silver Alert has been issued. Anyone with information on Tilton’s whereabouts is asked to contact local law enforcement immediately.
