Signode Relocating Its Corporate Headquarters To Tampa, Creating 200 New Jobs

TAMPA, Fla. – Signode Industrial Group LLC (Signode), a leading transit-packaging provider, is relocating its corporate headquarters from Glenview, Illinois to Tampa, Florida.

The new office will be located at Hidden River Corporate Park in Tampa, and house executive, senior, and mid-level management as well as IT and several other roles.

“Today is an exciting day for Florida’s economic growth as another company has decided to call the state home,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “We’re proud to welcome Signode Industrial Group to Florida, where they will provide essential jobs and continue to position the Tampa Bay area as an economic driver for the state.”

“We are excited to announce this move to Florida and to Tampa. Tampa offers an attractive cost of living, great climate, and abundant cultural and recreational options, making it an outstanding location for our people,” said Robert Bourque, President of Signode. “The business-friendly environment and growing economy in Tampa better positions us to grow our company and achieve our vision of being the premier, market-leading global industrial packaging company. We look forward to growing with and contributing to the greater Tampa community for years to come.”

The Tampa Bay Economic Development Council worked with Signode to provide data to make the business case for the move as well as to smooth the company transition to Tampa. CBRE assisted with the real estate search and brokered the transaction.

The new headquarters will bring more than 200 new high-quality, high paying jobs to Tampa.

“This is another huge win for Hillsborough County, and we’re excited to have Signode join our thriving business community,” said Pat Kemp, chair of the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners. “We’re grateful Signode has chosen to invest in our community, and we’re committed to supporting them as they set up operations here.”

“Tampa’s pro-business climate, diverse talent pipeline and unbeatable quality of life continues to attract the attention of major corporate headquarters,” said Mayor Jane Castor, City of Tampa. “We’re delighted to welcome Signode to our community. Their relocation will bring great prestige to Tampa and further fuel our momentum.”

Signode is the latest global company to announce plans to relocate or establish its corporate headquarters in Tampa and Hillsborough County, joining Suzuki Marine, OPSWAT, Delasierra Filter Technology, and The Mosaic Company.

“Tampa and Hillsborough County are on a roll this year when it comes to competing for and attracting global operations,” said Jim Weiss, chair of the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council and Senior Vice President of Fifth Third Bank. “With each of these wins, our reputation grows as a top business destination with the exceptional talent and quality of life that the world’s most competitive employers demand.”
