Shooting in Tampa Sunday Night, One-Injured

TAMPA, Fla. – At 10:53 p.m., Officers responded to the area of 34th, and Hannah after receiving reports that a male was shot.  When officers arrived, they found the victim laying on the ground, with a single gun-shot wound to his lower back. 

-2500 BLOCK OF E HILLSBOROUGH AVENUE. Just before 8 p.m., shell casings were found in the entrance of the plaza.

-43RD STREET N, BETWEEN E. IDLEWILD AVENUE AND E. CLIFTON STREET After 8 p.m., several vehicles were damaged and multiple casings were found.

According to a witness, suspects driving by in a dark sedan, fired multiple shots out of the vehicle.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The shootings and whether they are connected remain under investigation.

In a separate shooting Sunday night, one person was killed when shot in the chest and another inured with a gunshot to the leg.
