Shooting At Maryland Mall Food Court Claims Teen’s Life

A shooting at the mall in Columbia, Maryland, on Saturday evening left one person dead, according to police.

The incident occurred around 6:10 p.m. in the Columbia Mall’s bustling food court. Police responded to reports of gunfire and found a male victim, identified as 17-year-old Angelo Little of Columbia, with fatal gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Howard County Police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

No arrests have been made, and the motive remains unknown. Preliminary findings suggest an altercation occurred between the victim and an unknown suspect, escalating into gunfire.

The Columbia Mall, a popular destination for shoppers and diners, was evacuated and closed for the rest of the evening. In light of this tragic incident, security measures are being reviewed and enhanced.
