Shady Hills Elementary School Resumes Normal Operation After Gunfire Scare

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Shady Hills Elementary School was on a ‘controlled campus’ out of an abundance of caution after a report of gunfire being heard off campus in the area.

Deputies determined that the sound of gunfire was coming from an authorized firearms range nearby.

There is no threat to the school, according to Pasco Sheriff’s Office.

The school will resume normal operations.
