ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – In 2015, a sex offender with a fetish for minor-aged females, was arrested and placed on probation until 2026, through Tampa Bay’s “Operation Intercept.”
The multi-law enforcement sting operation was conducted to uncover people using online chatrooms and websites to sexually connect with minors.
Husein Durakovic, 36, St. Petersburg, was charged with “Traveling to Meet a Minor” during the 2015 sting operation and is now a suspect in a new case.
Largo Police Department issued a search warrant on Durakovic’s cell phone, granted by the Pinellas County courts, on October 14.
The Count in this current case is “Human Trafficking Forced Sex Trade” and involves Fling.com, an adult website for “hooking up with sexy singles looking for fun casual dating.”

According to the search warrant, police seek to forensically examine Durakovic’s Samsung cell phone.
Photographs are expected to be found of a minor who transmitted a faceless nude photograph through the device, as well as photographs Durakovic is also alleged to have taken of the minor child.
According to police, the minor was allegedly attending an overnight slumber party in Largo with friends when an “older man” picked her up in a truck and returned her one hour later. Flashing $140 dollars to her friends, the minor claimed she was paid to keep the man company.
Her friends did not believe her explanation, so as she slept they searched her phone and found the photographs. According to the report, the friends took photos of the girls to phone to show the party host’s mother.
The minor victim’s mother, upon learning about the incident, conducted a factory reset on the minor’s phone.
This has made it difficult for law enforcement to review the child’s Fling.com communications or photographs. The minor’s mother wished to protect the child from being linked to her abuser.
Durakovic’s cell phone number was eventually discovered and found to contain the minor victim’s phone number.
He was arrested on the front porch of his home after briefly flashing part of a text thread to police where he communicated with the minor, although he refused to allow the detectives a search of the entire thread.
Durakovic allegedly told police he believed the minor was 18 or 19 years old. He was charged with human trafficking because he “solicited, enticed, and transported” the victim for sexual exploitation.
Law enforcement agencies do not comment on pending litigation, however, we will update this story as more details are released.
