U.S. Rick Scott released a new ad that adds one more criticism of President Joe Biden’s dubious economic policies.
In the 30-second commercial, released Wednesday on YouTube, the Florida Republican urges viewers to “look around” to see how Biden and the “woke Democrats” are destroying America’s economy.
The ad starts with a reference to inflation, one of Scott’s favorite issues.
Over the last eight months, the inflation rate reported by the Labor Department has averaged 8.2 percent, the highest in four decades.
Scott then mentioned the Democrats are driving up the debt by introducing the “era of spendflation.”
Biden and his Democratic allies in Congress “are spending money we don’t have on things we don’t need.”

Now, the senator added, Biden wants “to cancel all college loans.” Or in other words, he’s “forcing a plumber who decided not to go to college to pay off loans for a lawyer who did.”
In fairness to Biden, not “all” loans are being canceled. He’s shifting the debt to taxpayers by relieving education borrowers who make less than $125,000 a year of the first $10,000 of what they owe, and $20,000 for Pell Grant recipients.
“It’s crazy,” Scott said in the ad.
He then promotes his 11-point Rescue America plan.
One provision of the plan would work to reduce the now $30.7 trillion national debt, which has increased by $4 trillion since August 2020.

Scott’s plan to pay down the debt includes ideas such as eliminating all federal programs that can be done locally; selling off all non-essential government assets, buildings, and land, and applying the proceeds to the debt; ending federal spending on non-essential state and local projects until the federal budget is balanced; axing non-essential federal employee job positions; and prohibit debt-ceiling increases unless there is a declaration of war.
