SEMINOLE, Fla. – An 11-year-old student at Seminole Middle School was arrested Tuesday for making written threats to kill or conduct a mass shooting. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office reports that Josiah Tardif sent several photos to a classmate depicting himself holding handguns and making threats against other students.
According to detectives assigned to the Threat Management Division, Tardif’s messages included specific threats to kill several students at the school. One message stated, “I’m going to kill him. All of them.”

The Sheriff’s Office acted swiftly upon receiving information about the threats, and Tardif was arrested and charged with one count of Written Threats to Commit a Mass Shooting.
This incident highlights the ongoing challenges schools face in addressing potential threats of violence and underscores the importance of students and parents reporting any concerning behavior to authorities.
