Seffner Motorcyclist, Arkansas Passenger Seriously Injured In Hillsborough Deputy-Involved Crash

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A collision early Tuesday morning in Hillsborough County left a motorcyclist and his passenger with serious injuries after their motorcycle collided with a marked Hillsborough Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) vehicle.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) crash report, the incident occurred at approximately 12:35 AM at the intersection of County Road 580 (CR-580) and Avenue Club Drive.

The report states that a 24-year-old deputy from Tampa was driving a marked HCSO Chevy Tahoe westbound on CR-580. At the intersection, the deputy initiated a left turn into the path of an eastbound Harley-Davidson FXD motorcycle.

A 30-year-old man from Seffner was operating the motorcycle, and a 20-year-old woman from Arkansas was riding as a passenger. Upon impact, both the motorcyclist and his passenger were ejected from the motorcycle.

FHP confirmed that both individuals suffered serious injuries as a result of the crash and were subsequently transported to a local area hospital for treatment. Their condition is not known at this time.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputy involved in the collision was reportedly uninjured.
